Boiler and heating repairs in Bolton

Everything here comes from what reviewers have had R&R do, from a Worcester others said to scrap to a Friday-night fault found in ten minutes. If your job isn't listed, ring and ask.

  1. Boiler repairsLeaking, losing pressure or not firing: the fault found and the boiler put right, often with the parts already on the van.82 reviews
  2. Fault finding and second opinionsTold it needs replacing, or nobody can find the fault? A careful diagnosis before you spend on a new boiler.16 reviews
  3. Hot water repairsNo hot water, or hot water that comes and goes: diverter valves, sensors and the rest of the hot side checked.18 reviews
  4. Heating repairs and pumpsHeating off, radiators not warming or a pump that has given up: found and fixed.10 reviews
  5. Gas fire repairsA gas fire that will not light or stay lit, looked at by a gas engineer.3 reviews

Told to replace your boiler? Run the second-opinion check and the message writes itself.

Good to know

I can smell gas. Who do I call?

Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. It is free and open 24 hours. Open doors and windows, don’t use switches or naked flames, and turn the gas off at the meter if you can. Once it has been made safe, ring R&R about the repair.

I’ve been told my boiler needs replacing. Is it worth a second look?

Often it is worth asking. Several reviewers came to R&R after being told to replace their boiler or after other engineers could not find the fault, and had it repaired instead. Nobody can promise that before seeing it, and sometimes replacing is the right call; you will be told honestly which it is.

How quickly can you come out?

One reviewer rang on a Friday night and was booked in for the next day. Another describes quick appointments and always being on time. Ring, say what is happening, and you will be told when someone can get to you.

Do you carry parts?

Reviewers describe the parts already being on the van: four parts fitted on one visit, and a Friday-night fault fixed the next day within two hours of arriving. If a part is not on board, you will be told what is needed.

Can you tell what’s wrong over the phone?

Sometimes you can narrow it down. One reviewer had his problem diagnosed over the phone before the visit. Have the boiler make, any error code and the pressure gauge reading ready when you ring: the second-opinion check on this site collects them for you.

Boiler playing up? Get it looked at properly.

Say what it's doing and where you are. Been told to replace it? Run the second-opinion check and the message writes itself.
